桑植县南滩冬日的风景特色鲜明。因气温落差比较大，海拔1300米的山上银装素裹，白雪皑皑，而下面温暖如春，冷暖对比非常明显，宛如一幅天然画卷。

南滩国家草原自然公园位于张家界市桑植县人潮溪镇境内，海拔1500多米，面积18万余亩,是中国南方最大的天然草场之一，是湖南省三大天然草场之一，2009年被列入湖南省7个草地监测县之一。南滩草场拥有千多种动植物，生物多样性极其丰富。草原内高山天池、高山杜鹃、高山云海，都非常有特色，公园旅游开发潜力巨大。

The winter landscape in Nantan, Sangzhi County has brilliant characteristics. Due to large temperature difference, the mountains at an altitude above 1,300 meters are covered with snow, whereas the lower parts are as warm as spring, the cold-warm contrast is very distinct, like a natural painting.

The Nantan National Grassland Natural Park is located within the borders of Renchaoxi Town, Sangzhi County, Zhangjiajie City, at an altitude of over 1,500 meters, its area is larger than 180,000 mu, it is one of the largest natural pasture lands in the south of China, as well as one of the three major natural pasture lands in Hunan Province. It was rated as one of the seven lawn monitoring counties of Hunan Province in 2009. The Nantan pasture land has more than one thousand kinds of animals and plants, the biodiversity is very high. The mountain sky pond, mountain rhododendron and mountain sea of clouds in the grassland are very distinctive, there is a great development potential in park tourism.
