5月7日晚，张家界武陵源景区黄石寨索道维保人员在索道3号支架上进行检修时发现，在支架的一处钢巢内有一对相亲相爱的红白鼯鼠。

红白鼯鼠俗称“飞狐”，又名果蝠，是世界上特大的蝙蝠，属国家二级保护的稀有野生动物，是国家2000年公布的有重要经济与科研价值的珍稀野生动物。黄石寨索道维保人员介绍，早在三年前就发现有“飞狐”在索道3号、4号支架的钢巢内栖息，但同时有一对“飞狐”出现还是第一次发现。据分析认为，应该是“飞狐”求偶成功后，携手在这远离干扰、安全僻静的地方“安家”繁育后代。

The red and white flying squirrel is commonly known as “flying fox”， also known as fruit bat， is the world's largest bat， belongs to rare wild animal of national secondary protection， and is the rare wild animal with important economic and scientific research value， which is announced by the state in 2000. Huangshizhai ropeway maintenance personnel introduce that the“flying foxes” were found in the steel nest roost of ropeway 3， 4 bracket of as early as three years ago， but at the same time a pair of “flying foxes” were found in first time. According to the analysis， a “home” should set up to breed offspring， hand by hand away from the interference， safe and quiet place after “flying fox” courtship success.
