3月15日，武陵源区协合乡插旗峪社区百丈峡茶园，当地40多名居民在明媚的阳光下采摘春茶。这是茶园今年的首采，采摘场面十分热闹，吸引了不少市民前来观摩。首采茶又称明前茶，是清明节前采制的茶叶，受虫害侵扰少，芽叶细嫩，色翠香幽，味醇形美，是茶中佳品。同时由于清明前气温普遍较低，发芽数量有限，生长速度较慢，能达到采摘标准的产量很少，所以又有“明前茶、贵如金”之说。百丈峡茶园的茶叶属于黄金茶，其明前茶深受市场青睐。

March 15, Baizhangxia Tea Field, Chaqiyu Community, Xiehe Township, Wulingyuan District, more than 40 local residents are plucking spring tea leaves in the warm sun. This is the first plucking in the tea field this year, the plucking scene is very busy, attracting a number of citizens. The first picked tea is also known as Mingqian Tea, i.e. the tea leaves collected and processed before the Pure Brightness Festival, characterized by slight insect damage, thin and tender buds, green color and faint fragrance, pure taste and nice shape, it is the top grade of tea. As the air temperature is universally low before Pure Brightness, the germination number is limited, the growth rate is relatively low, the yield meeting the plucking standard is poor, so there is a saying that "the Mingqian Tea is as valuable as gold". The tea of the Baizhangxia Tea Field is gold tea, and the Mingqian Tea is deeply welcomed by the market.
