2月14日，受强冷空气影响，天平山迎来降雪。整个山岭白茫茫一片，形态各异的雾凇挂满树枝，山坡上的植被也披上了一件晶莹剔透的白色“外衣”。寒风凛冽，气温极低，加速了雾凇的形成，俨然一派北国风光。

天平山林区位于桑植县境内，是湖南省八大公山国家级自然保护区的核心区域。地处武陵山脉北隅，北与湖北省鹤峰县交界。与之相邻的五道水镇楠木坪村、黄莲台村（南）、四门岩林场（西）及龙潭坪镇的云头山村（东）是保护区的缓冲地带。地理位置在桑植县的西北角，距桑植县城70公里。

On February 14, under the influence of strong cold air, Tianping Mountain ushered in snowfall. The whole mountain range was white, with different forms of freezing fog hanging all over the branches, and the vegetation on the slope was also covered with a crystal clear white "coat". The cold wind and extremely low temperature accelerated the formation of freezing fog, just like a northern scenery.

Tianping Mountain Forest Area is located in Sangzhi County, which is the core area of Badagong Mountain National Nature Reserve in Hunan Province. It is located in the northern corner of the Wuling Mountains and borders Hefeng County, Hubei Province in the north. The adjacent Nanmuping Village of Wudaoshui Town, Huangliantai Village (south), Simenyan Forest Farm (west) and Yuntoushan Village (east) of Longtanping Town are the buffer zones of the reserve. It is located in the northwest corner of Sangzhi County, 70 kilometers away from Sangzhi County.
