The ox is the symbol of diligence in Chinese culture. For powerful strength, the ox was extensively used in agriculture, transportation even military affairs in ancient times.
In our impression, the ox merely heads in work, and never asks for returns. In all ages, the ox is highly praised.“The ox eats grass and produces milk”,“bow as a willing ox”, “the spirit of the ox”,all eulogizing the ox's spirit of willingly bearing the burden of hard works and silent dedication.
In the farming times, the quantity of oxen was the symbol of wealth. At the present time, the“Bullish”and“Mr. Ox” are a sort of praise and honor to the talented people. In the stock market, the“bull market”is the pronoun of big rise.
The Year of the Ox has come, may everybody be “Mr.Ox”,stand on solid ground, head in work and be optimistic and pragmatic.
